BPA China Strengthens Local Presence with New Production Facility in Hangzhou

In February 2025, BluePrint Automation (BPA) China moved into its new 2,000 m² production facility in Hangzhou. This expansion is a strategic step in enhancing local support for customers in China and surrounding regions—with faster service, greater flexibility, and lower total cost of ownership.

BPA began operations in China in 2012 with a local sales and service organization. In 2020, the company took a major step by launching the local production of semi-automated Collators. Later on followed by fully automated ACM bag-in-bag systems (Jongerius Hanco) and various Gantry and Delta case packing solutions for snacks, ice cream and pet food. Subsequently adding Gravity machines for french fries and frozen food —all tailored to the needs of the regional market.

“After five years of production in China, our previous facility could no longer keep up with the growing market demand”, according to Amei Ju, Regional General Manager of BPA China. “The new facility provides our expanding Chinese team of 30 employees with the space to improve production flow and lead times, while creating room for future growth.”

Local presence, global strength

The new facility supports BPA’s global-local strategy: leveraging a global footprint while remaining close to the customer. By investing in local production, consultative sales, and strong service capabilities, BPA responds to the needs of Chinese customers for short lines of communication, regional support, and long-term partnership.

“Every customer and every project is unique,” Ju continues. “Our goal is to help customers excel by truly listening, understanding their needs and challenges, and delivering tailored solutions with the reliability and user-friendliness BPA is known for.”

Global commitment to customer success

Today’s customers seek efficiency, ease of operation, and operational reliability—especially with labor shortages affecting production environments. BPA machines are designed with these needs in mind, combining robust engineering with intuitive operation. BPA’s continued investments in innovation and standardization help customers stay competitive and future-ready.

BPA China is part of the family-owned BPA Group, which has over 700 employees and main locations in Woerden (the Netherlands) and Richmond (Virginia, USA). According to Group CEO Gijsbert Dezaire, it is the “BluePrint difference” that sets BPA apart in the marketplace.

“This difference lies in our commitment to long-term partnerships,” says Dezaire. “We always strive to find the right solution and deliver excellent service—whatever the challenge. By continuously investing in people, culture, and technology, we aim to exceed expectations and earn, every day, the trust of our customers as their preferred partner in secondary packaging automation.”
