BluePrint Automation (BPA) has initiated the process of changing suppliers for all servo gearboxes from Micron/Thomson/Boston Gear to APEX on upcoming machines. This decision was not taken lightly and made after careful vetting of each product based on quality, reliability and delivery. Chung-Chee Tai, VP Engineering said about this change, “We want to make the switch in order to continue to ensure the quality and delivery of BPA equipment. Apex is one of our current suppliers and has a quality servo gearbox with a much shorter lead time.” An additional benefit to the move is peace of mind. Each APEX gearbox will carry a 5-year warranty.
The move will take place over the next six months and is scheduled for completion by June 20, 2020.
