BluePrint Automation expands with sustainable all-wood building in Woerden

A milestone in the history of BluePrint Automation has been reached with the first pile-driving ceremony for the wooden building extension to our corporate headquarters in Woerden. We are proud to present the visualizations of this ambitious project, for which HD architects, known for their work on our headquarters, once again provided the design.

Since the completion of our headquarters in 2017, BluePrint Automation has grown steadily, and the need for expansion became apparent. We seized the ambition to go for an all-wood construction, in line with our vision of bio-based and circular design and our commitment to minimizing our carbon footprint.

The new industrial hall, flexibly designed over an area of about 6,000m², symbolizes not only our growth but also our commitment to sustainability. Elements of the façade design, such as the vertical columns, match the existing design language of our current head office.

The first pile-driving ceremony on February 23, 2024 kicks off the realization of this project, which encompasses so much more than just an expansion of our facilities. It represents our commitment to innovation and environmental awareness, with an all-wood construction estimated to store some 655 tons of CO2 throughout the building.

The integration of greenery into the facade will not only beautify our surroundings, but also help increase biodiversity. BluePrint Automation looks forward with great anticipation to the completion of this project and the positive impact it will have on our organization and the community of Woerden.
